Hi,

I am new to forum as well to AMIE.

Just today got confirmation about membership and would like to appear in winter exam 2012,

So will you please give me a URL ( I found this http://http://www.ieindia.info/ExamAB.aspx Is it correct ? ) to do on line payment of exam fee and basic idea about the same.

Thanks,
Himanshu

I have just now paid my examination fee (Sec-A; Summer 2014) through online. It is easy and simple. The steps I was allowed to take up were
1. Use the link "http://www.ieindia.org/ExamAB.aspx" (Alternatively you can follow the menu path "Academic => Online Services => Section A B Exam" from "http://www.ieindia.org/")
2. Enter your member ship number in the provided boxes and then press "Proceed" button.

3. Now you will get a screen displaying fields for Exam Type (like Section A, B etc.), Address, phone, mobile number, email id, branch [section A, B etc], appeared previously and details related to it (if not appeared, you can simply skip entering values in this zone), and then press "Submit" Button.

Now you will be getting a screen which shows all the entered values as a filled in application form format. You can take a print out of it (Print button is provided); I suggest you that you can also save a copy in addition to the print out of it in your hard disc/pen drive using save as option from the browser. [I used Internet Explorer browser (which is a preferred browser by most of the banks for safer financial transactions)], and followed the menu path "File" => "Save As";

I used ".mht" (Web Archive-Single File option) format to save it as it stores the screen with all images/icons and text in one single file. Other options are "Web page HTML only"-this saves the page contents without images and icons but in single ".htm" file OR "Web Page Complete"-This saves the page with image and icons, but will create a folder to contain the images and a ".htm" file by sharing same name for both folder and ".htm" file ]

4. Now you will be taken to a screen (which is secured line - URL starts with https://) where you are allowed to pay the fee using either Credit or Debit Cards (either Visa or Master Card authenticated). Follow the screen controls which expects input values (like card number, name as in card number, its expiry month and year, CVV number etc) in the same way we enter for online purchase in portals.

5. After successful submission of form in previous step, you will get a screen stating the Order Reference No, Amount (paid), and Payment Gateway transaction ID [totally 3 rows in a table format] with a caption for this screen stating "Payment Gateway". Take a print out of this page too (Here Print link is not provided. You can use browser's Print menu option; For example in IE browser this option is available under "File" menu).

That's it...Now u can either press "Home" link to go to IE's Home page or "logout" to exit from site. Please don't try to use "Back" or "Refresh" buttons while you are in money transfer screens, and wait patiently till the browser window responds after each stage during money transfer is under progress.

After all of the above, now there are two views about what has to be done with the soft/hard copy documents in hand.

Option 1: Put your signature in the place indicated in the application form print out, and send it with the payment gateway print out to
"IEI, 8, Gokhale Road, Kolkata - 700 020, W.B.
