What ever higher education courses AMIE passed persons can persue now is based on MHRD approval of AMIE as equivalent to Degree in Engineering for employment in Central Government Purposes. Since the government previously gave the above approval many Universities and Institutions Permitted AMIE passed to pursue higher studies,as you are aware MHRD has withdrawn recognisation of AMIE and requested IEI to obtain AICTE approval inorder to continue to run AMIE. The MHRD order has been stayed  by Honourable High Court of Delhi by Interim Order .
As per the Indian Constitution ,the central Government has power to regulate Technical Education, so there is every possibility that the MHRD order will be confirmed, and once confirmed   and if the AMIE recognisation is withdrawn then no university will accept AMIE passed regardless of the year of passing and once it is derecognised in the home country it will not be accepted anywhere else  in other countries also,al ready some states have derecognised AMIE after the MHRD memo ,even though the matter is subjudice. Also persons who obtained ME after derecognisation of AMIE ,the validity of ME without recognised Degree in Engineering will be questioned.

The Government has requested all to  influence the decision making by post their views on the new education policy by visiting https://mygov.in

The only way to continue  AMIE recognisation is to write to the government  that they cannot withdraw AMIE approval without giving alternative education for working Diploma holders  to further their career development and realise their potential per Article 38(2) of the Constitution.

Click below to see the ongoing discussions.Register at https://mygov.in ,select discussions, goto new education policy choose open and distance education link and post  your views to support AMIE.

You can choose between doing something or nothing and resign to your fate, you are requested to do your part so that you can comfort yourself  that you did every thing possible for continuation of AMIE otherwise you may regret that you did not make use of the chance given by the government to influence the decision making of the Government. Please visit and post your comments at the below links

Visit http://mhrd.gov.in/distance-learning
Download the draft Distance Education Bill and send your comments to the email id mentioned in the webpage if you want AMIE to be continued and  M.Tech to be offered in Distance learning

MHRD has been asking public through twitter and Times Now ads requesting public to post their views and discuss at https://mygov.in to influence the decision making of the New Education Policy . MHRD website also states the same.

Final Call to all AMIE students and AMIE passed persons. When the Government itself is asking for your views please register at https://mygov.in and post your views under discussion in the New Education Policy ODL forum. Also visit the MHRD site link above download the draft Distance Education Bill and send your views to the email mentioned there. It is time to act ,before it is too late ,if AMIE is derecognised afterwards you cant do anything about it.
