I recently submitted for admission to AMEI. Lets suppose, that if I were to attend the winter 2012 exams for section-A in December, will it be a good decision to write 4 subjects or 2 subjects? Will it be really hard to cover all 4 subjects within such short period of time, starting now? I still have not started studying or received any study materials. Or should I just choose to write only for Summer 2013 exams?

Any advise much appreciated.

Dear Friend
It is not too hard, it seem so. A consistent and well managed study will give you best results. if you have such short time to preparation then selected 2  subject instead of 4.

Thanks friend....good to hear advice from someone who has gone through the process. I was also thinking of 2 subjects.

If there are others also who have gone through the exams, please do share your experiences. Thanks.

I don't mean to hurt hurt anyone here but come on! guestnaveed, is it so easy to just go by what others think or have done? if some suggest you to jump into a pit will you just jump into and think about it?? Did someone force you to join AMIE??? If you answer "Yes" all this then mind you, No one! I mean No One can help You.

If you are only asking for our observation and experience here it is:
- I have seen some unable to make even one subject in a year or more,
- And yet I know some who made it through in one go (just one exam) of sec A ST member,
- If you'd askd, I would like to add that there was a time when Sec A Diploma exam took only two days( 2 subject in first 2 days of the routine witout gap), Have you even checked the routine?

So my friend 2 or 4 subject don't matter nor the duration for preparing!
You just need to "make up" your mind, "train" your mind accordingly and there you are "On Your Own"

So again gentlemen, If there are others also who have gone through the exams, please do share your experiences. Thanks!

...And kindly no replies expected from "Psychiatrists", "Psychoanalysts", "Mental Consultants", etc.... we are not expecting psychiatric evaluations here....no one is really interested in your unhealthy advises.
If you cannot help or share others, just do everyone a favor by not replying to posts unnecessarily. It is exactly because of the people like these on forums, that some forums go unsuccessful and people stay from it.

----The above message is not intended at anyone and is not expected a reply or comment. So PLEASE-----

As mentioned earlier, kindly reply if you can to the original post. Thank you so much.

i have also tried in first attempt and cleared three exams, remember if u have read 60-80% of amie study book u have very goood chance to clear i have studied only 2.5 month. and left uncleared only design and manuf
i will prefer to cover two subject deeply as possible and go two with ten years!

go with design and manufacuring and society  in deep
and use ten year for informatics and material science
atleast u will definately cleare the above two as they seems to be easiest
u will not be chock deeply iff failed in informatics and material science..
so go for that!!!

snjypraja, thanks for the good pointers....you mention ten years? I thought the maximum period allowed was only upto six years or maybe I am misunderstanding your reply.
