Dear Friends,
As you might be aware government had set up a review committee on AICTE and the reports of the committee is posted for comments on the below links. If you go through the links there are recommendations that for Technical education in Distance mode , there is a need for students to pass an Exit exam (like Gate exam) for their Qualification to be considered as equivalent degree. Pls post your comment to recommend to government to abolish AICTE and to promote AMIE , Distance and Online Technical education by offering live/ recorded class room sessions from reputed institutions like IITs/NIT etc for working Diploma Engineers to upgrade to Degree qualifications.

If there is exit exam like Gate for Engineering Degree it should be for both regular and Distance learning students not distance learning students only. Please visit below links and post your views

https://mygov.in/group-issue/review-all ... ion-aicte/

Please post your comments in large numbers , this is your last chance to reach your views to the government

Dear AMIE students and AMIE passed,
Did you read employment news or national newspapers advertisement of Government organisations and Public Sector Organisations advertising for Engineers vacancies in this year, you might be surprised to note most of them are asking for Engineering Degree holders who have studied full time and passed their exams, this means AMIE passed persons are not eligible to apply. So after your hard work and passing AMIE exams you are not eligible for the above jobs. AMIE students and Engineers are responsible for the above ,as we have observed AMIE student and AMIE passed donot spend even 5 minutes to write to the government ,even though government is asking for their view on the new education policy.

MHRD has been asking public through twitter and Times Now ads to post their views and discuss at https://mygov.in to influence the decision making of the New Education Policy . MHRD website also states the same.

If AMIE recognisation is withdrawn then no university/Employer will accept AMIE passed regardless of the year of passing and once it is derecognised in the home country it will not be accepted anywhere else ,already some states have derecognised AMIE after the MHRD memo ,even though the matter is subjudice. Do your part and write to the government

Click below to see the ongoing discussions. You can choose between doing something right now in few minutes or do nothing and resign to your fate
https://mygov.in/group-issue/promoting- ... ne-courses

Visit http://mhrd.gov.in/distance-learning
Download the draft Distance Education Bill and send your comments to the email id mentioned in the webpage if you want AMIE to be continued

Final Call to all AMIE students and AMIE passed persons, wake up please. When the Government itself is asking for your views please register at https://mygov.in and post your views under discussion in the New Education Policy ODL forum. Also visit the MHRD site link above download the draft Distance Education Bill and send your views to the email mentioned there. It is time to act ,before it is too late ,if AMIE is derecognised afterwards you cant do anything.

If large number of AMIE students / AMIE passed post their view on the above forum and we request them to post their name, date on which they posted on the above forums and email id in reply to this forum, then we would invite them to join as members of proposed AMIE students /AMIE Engineers association who will take up the matter of AMIE approval with all concerned authorities,as we are of the view that the Government has responsibility as per the Constitution of India to facilitate each individual to realise his full potential ,which is possible for WORKING diploma engineers in critical sectors of the country like railways, electricity boards, powerplants, industry etc which work for 24 hours in a day ,to get Degree equivalent qualifications and and career enrichment only through AMIE as they cannot attend regular classes and taking away their right by de-recognising AMIE would amount to violation of Constitution Provisions such as article 21 Right to life etc and against directive principles of the constitution
