You have done Good work...
but as per my thinking, in programs asked like this, we can't use Predefined functions, We have to define new user-defined function and then call it.

HI for fun sake, i have took the predetermined function to display reverse "www.amiestudy.com".

Hi see this sample programme to reverse text string http://www.amiestudy.com

Code: [Select]
#include<stdio.h>
#include<conio.h>

main()
{
   char arr[100];

   printf("Enter our website namenn");
   gets(arr);

   strrev(arr);

   printf("Reverse of our website is n%snn",arr);

   printf("SAY THANKS TO SIMHA_REDDY");

   getch();
}

OUTPUT

Hi to all here iam presenting a Funny and simplest programme to reverse the number using "strrev" function
Programme thinks the Input number as Text string and reverses it easily ...

Code: [Select]
/*REVERSES A NUMBER UPTO 100 DIGITS*/
#include<stdio.h>
#include<conio.h>

main()
{
   char arr[100];
   printf("Enter a number to reversen");
   gets(arr);

   /*THIS STRREV FUNCTION IS DOING THE MAGIC*/

   strrev(arr);
   printf("Reverse of entered number is n%sn",arr);
   getch();
}

Output

Hello friend
find below my program for same function in C++, please comment on it, advice me also.
specially I would like comments from  Mr. Praveen.

/* This is a program to reverse any number (digit is not limitation) reverse numbers */

    /*     n= Given number
           r= reverse output
           d=constant
           */

#include <iostream>
#include <cmath>

int main ()
{
    using namespace std;
int r=0,d,n;
cout << "Enter a value:";
cin >> n;
do
{
d=n%10;
n= n/10;
r=r*10+d;
}
while(n!=0);
{
cout << r << "n" ;
 system ("pause");
    return 0;
}

}

Hi Your programme is quite simple and no restriction on number of digits

Hi All

Quote from: "praveen"
/* PROGRAM TO CALCULATE GROSS SALARY */

Code: [Select]
#include<stdio.h>
#include<conio.h>

main()
{float sal,hr,da,gross_sal;
printf("enter basic pay");
scanf("%f",&sal);
house_rent=0.2*sal;
da=0.4*sal;
gross_sal=sal+hr+da;
printf("gross salary=%.2f",gross_sal);
getch();
}

In the above programme there are small observations

1. The variable "house_rent" is not declared (i think "hr" is "house_rent" either "hr" may be changed as house_rent or vice versa in the programme)

2.  I have given output for each calculated variable, like DA, HRA

3. And the code "n" makes space between each line in the output.

2. So the programme after modifications is given below:

Code: [Select]
#include<stdio.h>
    #include<conio.h>

    main()
    {float sal,hr,da,gross_sal;
    printf("Enter basic pay: ");
    scanf("%f",&sal);
    hr=0.2*sal;
    da=0.4*sal;
    gross_sal=sal+hr+da;
    printf("Basic salary=%.2f",sal);
    printf("House rent Allowance=%.2fn",hr);
    printf("Dearness Allowance=%.2fn",da);
    printf("Gross salary=%.2fn",gross_sal);
    getch();
    }

The output will look like this:

General Topics and Discussions / Re: Am I eligible for GOVT. Jobs?
« on: July 23, 2012, 05:06:18 PM »
Quote from: "chaitanya234"
I am ChaitanyaKrishna from ANDHRAPRADESH, done my B.Tech in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 2008. Presently working as SYSTEM ENGINEER in a IT Services based company. But my interest lies on MECHANICAL stream so I started searching in internet for ANY POSSIBLE TO DO ADDITIONAL BRANCH after completion of B.Tech(IT) and I found AMIE(I). And I consulted regional centre of AMIE and knew details regarding Section A and B. They told that IEI can give exemption of Sec A for who completed B.Tech and I can directly apply for Section B (i.e. Mechanical Engg.). So if I complete the Section B, I got A.M.I.E(Mech.). Then can I apply for govt. jobs with the qualification of AMIE(Mech)?.,and I checked in employment news that they are asking regarding AMIE candidates pass in both Section A and Section B. So how can I answer them about section A. So please clarify my doubt.

There are two things
1. You pass section A normally
2. Exempted section A by virtue of qualification

You are falling under the second category
so dont worry, once you complete Section B you will be given AMIE certificate in Mechanical Branch

All the best
