Hello,

I want to change only one optional subject within same group.
Actually i already appeared for the subject which is i want to change.

I have chosen wrong subject by mistakenly, and trying to solved specific subject but it is to hard to clear so that i want to change the subject.

It is possible to change only one subject now(already appeared subject)?

Please clarify my doubt and let me know fees for the same.

If is possible then can i send both change optional subject and exam form application at same time or i should have to apply for first subject change and then after apply for the exams.

Please let me know.

Regards,
Minal

Dear Minal,

Yes you may still change it.
If you already passed remaining two subjects(within same group as in your case), you can carry your exception and do not need to appear again(as I understand).
You have to mention both previously chosen optional subjects and new desired optional subjects in the application form.
Although if you want to change different group(which is not in your case), all result of optional subjets would be cancelled automatically.

The rule for changing the optional subject says :

Rule for Changing Optional Subject.png[/attachment:2po7r49y]

Please refer the section 2.3.5(ii) of Rule book Volume I(which you got at the time of Election) for further clarification.

Also for chaging the same, you have to register afresh with requisite fee as already done for Sec B, this should take same time as Sec B registration. Please discuss the same with IEI for further information.
The online application form for changing Branch/optional subject looks like this:

Application Form.JPG[/attachment:2po7r49y]

Also find the attched application form(.pdf) for the same by post.
The fee for the same is Rs.3000/-

Hoping this will help.

Hi Kedar,

Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry i can not understand the registration process as you mentioned.
"Also for chaging the same, you have to register afresh with requisite fee as already done for Sec B, this should take same time as Sec B registration." - You have mentioned.

So i have to again register for sec b or either i have to submit only Change Subject Application Form? And i have to pay 5000 for sec b registration and 3000 for change subject? or i have to submit only change subject form along with exam registration?
And also if i would apply for the change subject then can i give the exam in this winter 2015?

Please clarify my doubts.

Dear Minal,

There is only one form for changing branch as well as optional subject.
You have to fill both your current Branch and optional subject as well as desired branch and optional subject.
(In your case branch and two optional subject will be same of course)

You do not need to register for Sec B again, you just need to send the application form for optional subject change with Rs. 3000/-.
This changing process will take same amount of time as it did for Sec B registration(That's what I meant by my last post)

If you will apply now for optional subject change, you may appear for Winter 2015. But I would suggest to please discuss this first with IEI because you have to send Exam form as well as optional subject changing form, but It should be possible as lots of candidate register for section B and appear in sec B examination in the same term.
