hi all,

i have completed a diploma in electrical and electronics. Now i have joined a course in AMIE (section A diploma scheme) and obtained a ST membership.  Based on the qualifications procured, i wish to know if i can be exempted from writing any of the papers. I have attached my cumulative marksheet with this.kindly let me know if i can avail exemption from any of the papers

u have to write 4 subjects in seciton A and 9 subjects in section B, then lab and project as all the ST members (Diploma stream)

hi  kanmaniraja,
this is senthilkumar.k. from chidambaram. as you have got ST membership you have to write only 4 papers in section A. there is another membership called "technician"(T). that is for non diploma people. that people have to write 10 papers in section A. so a ST membership candidate has got 6 papers exemption compared to a Technician member in section A. regarding section B there is no any exemption to anybody. (everyone should write 9 papers. he may be Technician member or Senior Technician member )

Section A = 4 subjects
Section B = 9 subjects
 
Total = 13 Subject
