Hello Vivek,

The only MSc Professional Engineering Degree program which you can do while being in active employment is conducted by us in association with Engineering Council-UK in association of University of Derby, Aston University and our Corporate team which handles the Program supervision and Course completion. This program is approved MSc Engineering Degree program is work based  done under supervision of Engineering Council-UK licensed Chartered Engineer (UK) for entire duration of course.Fees for UK program are in British Pound sterling.

All other Indian based University cannot run MTech in distance or work based mode due to restriction of AICTE .This is the reason why IGNOU was asked to discontinue it's MTech program in India in last few year.

Hope it clarifies

Kind regards

Respected  bishnujee,
But sir, in india there are few universities, which run part-time M.Tech(6 semesters) for working professionals and the degree is AICTE recognized.

Regards.

Even though you completed AMIE , if the recognisation is withdrawn then no university will accept AMIE passed regardless of the year of passing and once it is derecognised in the home country it will not be accepted anywhere ,al ready some states have derecognised AMIE after the MHRD memo ,even though the matter is subjudice. Do your part and write to the government

Hello Dhananjoy,

There is difference between part time Degree in Evening and Correspondence/Distant/Open University courses besides non formal courses.I believe most of you would be expected to understand the difference between them since English is medium of Instruction /examination in majority of Indian Institution.
Full Time Courses : You attend regular lectures ,practical,Project thesis/viva
Part Time Courses: You attend regular lectures in Evening or dates specified by University for employed /sponsored candidates
Distant/open University Courses: Delivery of course is by Distance mode /correspondence at Study center specified each week.
Non Formal Courses (AMIE/AMIETE/AMIME/AMICE) : No delivery of course work in distance or regular mode.No attendance compulsory for Lectures.Individual can attend Lectures just like full time course if they are not employed or they have sufficient time.Majority of The Aeronautical Society of India Sec A &B are Full time students after 10+2.So they attend lectures and practicals just like regular courses program. It is not compulsory lecture attendance for Non Formal courses.

As per current AICTE ,MHRD,UGC policy no Technical courses at Bachelor or Master level can be run under Distant/Open mode. This is INDIA as country policy and it is supported by Supreme Court Of India judgement in 2014 and in recent past when it has mentioned that any Technical Courses without AICTE approval is Illegal.

Hope it clarifies the situation for you. Please don't repeat the same question again.

Kind regards

Before applying for any institution find out more information on that institute and Mtech syllabus. The university you apply should have permission and certification by Distance Education Council. Find out which institutions conduct online admission test and which doesn't. Some institutions just consider only previous academic performance. Here are some of the best institutions for Distance Education.
1) Indira Gandhi Open University
2)Annamalai University
3)Sikkim Manipal University
4)University of Madras
5) Mahatma Gandhi University
6)Nalanda Open University

Above are the bests i believe
