hi,i have applied for AMIE on 18th september,2011.i got a message from IEI after 8 days that they have received my documents.now, i think i shall get my study material in January.i want to apply for summer 2012 exams.but i have heard that after you receive the study material,i card is sent by a different post after 45 days.and date for filling up the exam form is in between February to march.so it may happen that i may not receive i card during that time.so can i fill up the form and send to IEI??is there any need of i card for exam form?i have started study for AMIE.so please guide me.

Hi Harish,

Yea you will get your study materials between December 20 to January 20. You will receive your ID card within 45 days to this date. So what you want to do is the following
1) You have to check with IE website frequently from January first week. you can use this link https://www.ieindia.info/enrollment_tnst.aspx
to check your enrollment status
2) If your name is there in this list, you will get your Membership number from there.
3) Then you can send your application form for Summer 2012 in stipulated time by using this membership number.
4) You need to get the Identity card issued by IE only to get the admission to write exams.
