Dear Mr. Pravin,
For "Fundamentals Of Design & Engineering" -- Jain Publication book by "Vaishwanar, Subhash Chander, Prasad" is the best.
Also Jain publication papersolution is useful. You can reffer them.
Regards,
Sagar

MATERIALS SCIENCE

MATERIALS SCIENCE is the subject that deals with investigation of relationship existing between the structures of materials and their properties and their inter-disciplinary study of materials for practical purposes
Generally metals are classified into metals and non metals. Metals are further classified into ferrous metals non ferrous metals.
When two or more metals are combined, it is called alloy.
This subject mainly deals with solids only.
Metals are generally solids and polycrystalline. It consists of crystals which are arranged in regular form. Metals have thermal and electrical conductivity. Electrical resistivity of metals increases with increase of temperature.
When metal has iron as one of constituent it is called ferrous metal.
When metal has not iron as one of constituent it is called non ferrous metal.
This subject deals with structure, properties and applications of engineering materials
