The number of subjects a student will have to undertake will dependon the study stream he or she belongs to. If the student is underthe diploma stream he / she will be required to undertake four subjects while the non diploma students are expected to undertake a number of ten subjects.
The subjects that are listed for examination under Section A are:
1. Engineering fundamentals for design and manufacturing
2. Mechanical Science and related information
3. Material Science and Engineering
4. Engineering related physics and chemistry
5. Computing, technology and informatics
6. Society and environment aspects
7. Engineering related drawing and graphical studies
8. Engineering Mathematics
9. Electronics, instruments and related areas
10. Electrical Science
The students who have registeredas diploma students will not undertake all above subjects and will only have to undertake the exams in the following subjects:
1. Engineering fundamentals for design and manufacturing
2. Computing, technology and informatics
3. Material Science and Engineering
4. Society and environment aspects
