Result - exemption mean what? Pass or any else

Hello friends ! myself Gautam Kansagra. I enrolled as a Senior Technician Member in AMIE in last year 2010.
First time I appear in winter 2010 exam for Section-A one subject only - Computing and Informatics. before few days I got result on website is "exemption" only not marks of that subject.. So I want to know that Exemption means what ? Pass in that one subject and now I can appear for other three papers of Section-A. or meaning is any else.
