Quarry over Section - B pass out

Postby prpkbl » Fri Dec 23, 2011 8:48 am

As per the IE guide line to complete pass-out the section - B examination one has to secure Grade C in 7 Subjects and grade D in remaining 2 Subjects at last attempt and same is very clearly mentioned in the IE Vol.1 Clause 2.3. If this rule is wright, pl. confirm under what circumstances it will be considered.

In my case, I have secured grade C in 7 Subjects (self has secured total 30 marks as extra in 7 subjects and will it be carry forward to make GPA average 6 for grade D subject ) and has already appeared for reaming 2 subject in Winter 2011. If, I secured grade D in these 2 subjects, shall I declared as complete pass section-B. In this case GPA average will be 6. I have already completed my project and Lab. with Grade H.

Request for a line of replay on above.

Thanking you in the meantime and best regards,

Only consider 2 D for AMIE pass
1-(6paper C +1B or 1 A or 1 H + 2 D)pass AMIE section B .
2- all paper 9 C Pass section B
Not included project and Lab no.

What about 7C and 2D grade student. It is v. clearly mentioned as per IE rule No. 2.3 that they will be declared as pass.

I have secured 30 marks extra in my 7C grade subjects. Will it be carried forward to remaining two D grade subject to make the GPA average 6. I know it was happened during old syllabus (Prior to Dec. 2005). for compete pass-out of Section-B examination.

Hope, the topic is v. much clear to all.
Awaiting for a reply on above particularly.

only pass means
7C+2D= 42(C=6)+10(D=5 ) = 52/9=5.77 (CGPA MIN 6 AMIE Pass section -B )
7C +2D = 5.77 (not pass AMIE)

hi panigrahi,
mr. Krishna has very clearly explained that 7C + 2D means cgpa of 5.77 which is less than 6 and hence cant be taken as pass, as very clearly evident from the rule itself.

I ma very well understood thecalculation and self is aware of that. But here the question is 7C and 2D scored candidate. Pl. confirm wether this rule is applicable or not (Where as it has been v. clearly mentioned in vol. 2.3).

As per IE guide line, nowhere it has been mentioned that one has to secure more then C grade atleast in one paper (B - grade) to complete pass-out the section - B examination.

I think some link/calculation is not clear to me. It need to be clarified from IE-India.

Is anybody pass-out with 7C and 2D grade scored. Pl. confirm per return reply.

Hi,
Minimum CGPA should be 6.0 (in theory paper-9 subjects)
in your case (7C*6 points)+ (2D*5 points) you will get only 5.77, it will not declare pass.
better to take 1 subject higher grade minimum B & 1 D or take 2 C . will declare u pass.

All the best.
