You will get the Admit Card from the AMIE official website.
You will get it 10 days before the exam date.

I REQUEST YOU ALL FRIENDZ TO GIVE YOUR REPLY BASED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE

I am very grateful to Mr. Praveen he is doing a wonderful job. I appeared for the first time for the exam and I followed majority of the steps suggested by Mr. Praveen and I managed to get off with good grades i.e. H for Design and Manufacturing and B for Society and env.

What is very important is to attempt all the questions. (Maintain a good speed)
Maintain good Handwritting. Many examiner judge you by your writing.
Refer to the institutes study material cover to cover and then refer to other authors books (that is what I followed for the first 2 papers)
Neat labeled diagrams with pencil will leave a good impression.

Wish you all the very best and I hope to share more of my experiences and material with you all to make our Journey through this degree easier.

Re: Fundamentals of design and Manufacturing.

dear all,
can anybody provide me study material of fundamentals of design & manufacturing. i shall be thankful to him who will help me.

I suggest you read the Institute study material (Provided by the institute during membership) for design and manufacturing throughly and then refer to some other author as well. I referred to Katson publishers for the subject. They are new in the business but I found their material was good. For instance The chapter "types of welding processes" in the institute book contains only names, where as the Katson publisher book is good with figures and detailed explanation which I followed.

Wish you all the best for your preparations. Happy Studying! :D

This is V.K.Shah requesting you to provide the name of the books/author for Material Science and Engineering . My mail id is vinodjeupcl@rediffmail.com.

You can refer to I. P. Singh and Subash Chander the book is for Rs. 150(not sure) publisher is jain brothers. They have an updated version which has a blue cover. It may be a bit expensive. So check it out with your book store.

All the best! Happy Studying :D

What is the procedure to get Library assistance from IEI????
How many books in one duration would be available from there???

Yes library facilities are available with the state/local centre you need to check with yours. You should consult your local center for assistance you can call them from the no. provided with our initial membership registration form.

They charge some nominal fee of 200/- per year and a deposit of Rs 500/-for the books which is refunded when you want to quit you library membership

You are allowed to take 2 books at a time for a period of 1 month after which you need to renew them. (Late fees applicable  )

The fees I am taking about is for Maharashtra state centre Mumbai.. You can check with your local centre.

Happy Studying :D

Acceptance of AME students as ST members!

Postby menezes.louis » Wed Mar 31, 2010 6:03 pm

Dear All,

I have learned through my friends who are pursuing a 3 years course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (which is a Certificate course structured by the DGCA of India for entry into the Aviation field as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for maintaining aircrafts of various airlines) that the completion of this course is accpeted by the IEI as equivalent to a 3 year diploma and that they are eligible for enrolling as ST members with an exemption of 6 subjects.

Is anyone aware about any such registration done by the IEI. Any information will be of great help. Kindly discuss!
