Some tips to become better engineering students:

1) Don't just study hard, study smart. Knowing the areas of important for exam is crucial to attain better score.

2) Don't just remember the formula. Practice the calculations on more problems solving questions and apply them. In this way you'll learn to understand better.

3) Study before the classes begins and take notes on areas your least understand. Ask them during tutorials for clarifications.

4) Relate what you've studied with real life application. Engineering is not about theorem, it's about solving problem in the real world.

5) Form a study group to help each other out in your assignments, projects and even exam preparations.

6) Answer directly to the questions asked. Give concrete points and examples to support your facts.

7) Draw diagrams and models to simulate your calculations.

8) There could be many ways to solve a problem. Explore all the methodology by going through several books/authors.

9) Last but not least, always be inqusitive. Be creative and innovative in your designs.Don't shun away from problem. Work through the numbers and relate them in simple models.
