I am G.Guru Bakyesvara Pandiyan. I have already elected as a Technician Member (T-157021-1) but now i have completed Diploma now i want to upgrade as Senior Technician. Until now i havent write any exams using technician membership. I have my +2 , my diploma Provisional Certificate and marksheet and my Technician membership card issued by IEI. Now I request to u pls let me know how can i upgrade as Senior Technician i.e what forms i have to fill and amount of dd, Should i submit my ID or apply for separate Duplicate ID for Senior Technician membership with dd. Pls reply me bros.

Dear brother..
the answer for ur question is cleary specified in the examination rules handbook given by iei.. read it carefully. i think its very simple. i say from my friend's experience, joined as technician and completed his 4 papers first which are needed in section a diploma stream. and now he sent the request for seniort membership with his valid diploma certificate.

thanks for ur reply bro.. I knew but i dont know how to proceed ie whether i should fill up a form or writing a letter regarding the change with certificates. Any money i should pay if so what is the amount of DD??

you need to talk to HQ. As far as i remember there is list of documents required to change the T to ST status. You also need to write a written application to change your membership from T to ST.

dear frnd guru, i was also T member n cleared one subject with that. Later i got diploma n applied for conversion. All u need to do is, just go to nearest iei centre and purchase a fresh blank i-card. After filling ur particulars get it attested by corporate member. Dont forget to get attested the zerox copy of ur diploma certificates. Make a draft of Rs.125 or whatever it is. Then write an application on A4 paper requesting the president of membership dept. to change ur membership from T to ST. U may also need to make one more separate draft as conversion fee. This u must clear from iei centre or from corporate member. After dat send all these documents together to iei headquarters (membership dept.) by registered post. Make it fast, may b u can attempt winter exams. Be quick. For any further query just ask. Al d best.
