bca or amie comp science

Postby student1988 » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:39 am

Guys i am confused ... i am planning to drop out of engineering(electronics) ... because i have couple of drops and i am not interested in continuing with it... i was wondering whether bca or amie(comp science) is a better option for me ..i have only completed hsc and i wanted to know if amie is considered as graduation and can i apply for jobs in the private sector ... because i have read in few forums that amie is not considered as equivalent to B.E in the private sector

if all this has already been posted ... i am sorry for reposting .. but i really need some clarification on this issue before taking a final decision ... thanks

dear.,
If you want job after amie comp. science means dont do amie ..rather you choose bca,mca like that..
Amie certificate has no value in industry particularly IT .. Its not worth and somebody don't know what is amie. if yu put same effort in yur mca.. Yu can be a rank holder..

Hello dear,

Don't mix the thinks.

AMIE in any branch is for the students who are already working and have back up of job experience after completion of AMIE.

Candidates who are doing AMIE just after 10+2 will not get much benefit in future. Although, AMIE is not a distance learning academic course.

It is equivalent to BE or B Tech and has the equal value in Govt and private sector provided one will able to compete with regular candidates.

Just compare in your mind among students with regular BE, AMIE without experience or also AMIE with experience.

AMIE has the value in Govt as well as private sector compare to other part time and lower grade BE colleges.

As I don't know about your basics I'll not be able to clarify. But in todays scenario AMIE (comp sc) and BCA from distance learning without job experience will not be fruitful. Advice U to meet professional counselor on the same field to get some inputs.
