AMIE degree not valid in EIL...Shame on Indian govt..

Postby preet singh » Tue May 15, 2012 2:54 pm

Hello Everyone!
Regarding EIL(Engineers India Limited) advertisement for the vacancy of management trainees, They are not accepting AMIE. I dont know why these issues are created day by day even when IEI is assuring that AMIE is equivalent to B.E.. Who is responsible for this- IEI or Indian govt? we all are sandwiched b/w these issues and discrimination is always there b/w AMIE'ans and regular B.Tech students. Something seriously has to be taken out to resolve this issue otherwise the value of AMIE degree will be considered zero in future...We all know that we are far better than regular B.Tech students in terms of knowledge but all goes in vain when we are told that AMIE is not valid in jobs. So please, all senior members of IEI are requested to make our degree valid in every case otherwise there is no future of AMIE.
Please see the attachments;-- clearly mentioned in FAQ section no 12 ,that AMIE is not accepted

hi friend..
this is a very serious issue.
I will be completing my sec B exams this summer. If AMIE degree is not recognise by EIL or other Govt or public organization..then our future is in dark...... what about private farms... how they will treat us?
Plz every AMIEian shout fight together to get recognized.

If AMIE passed student can apply UPSC, GATE, CAT & Other Govt Exam then why not in EIL Or Other PSU Exam. I think IEI & Those board should take this matter seriously

The issue is certainly frightening & alarming. But how to take up this matter with the AMIE Management Board or HRD,India? AMIE HQ neither respond to emails nor any phone calls. Does anyone have any idea regarding this? Does RTI or any other governmental body can help this issue? If anyone has any solution or idea regarding this, please post it here so that everyone can know.
